The National Defence Academy (NDA) is the Joint Services academy of the Indian Armed Forces, where cadets of the three services, the Army, the Navy and the Air Force train together before they go on to pre-commissioning training in their respective service academies. The NDA is located in Khadakwasla near Pune, Maharashtra. It is the first tri-service academy in the world.

To Get Into National Defence Academy, individual candidate has to clear three steps:-

Step 1-   Clearing the Written Examination
Step 2-   Clearing the SSB Interview
Step 3-   Clearing the Medicals

NDA Written Examination is held every year under the supervision of UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) and is held twice a year. The Written Examination is conducted in the month of April and September.
Written paper is divided into two sections:
Section 1  Mathematics -120 Questions-300 Marks
Section 2 General Ability -150 Questions-600 Marks
