Army Soldier Recruitment Examination is one of the most famous opportunities for the young defence aspirants. These recruitment exams are conducted throughout the recruitment calendar year under various Army Recruiting Zone. Candidates from age group of 17 ½ to 23 years and possessing below given educational qualification can make their career in Indian Army.

Exam Details

Branch Age Educational Qualification
General Duty 17 ½ to 21 years
  1. 10th pass with minimum 33% marks in each subject and 45% marks in aggregate.
  2. 10+2 pass or more need not have 45% marks in 10th.
Technical 17 ½ to 23 years
  1. Minimum 10+2 passed in science with English. Physics, Chemistry and Maths with 50% in aggregate and 40% in each subject.
Nursing Assistant 17 ½ to 23 years
  1. Minimum 10+2 passed in science with Physics, chemistry, Biology and English with 40% marks in each subject and a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
  2. In case of a graduate having BSc Degree (Botany/Zoology/Bio Science) and English (Simple Pass) the stipulation of percentage in class 12th is not mandatory.
Clerk/Storekeeper 17 ½ to 23 years
  1. 10+2 pass in any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science) with 60% in aggregate and 50% in each subject.
  2. The candidate should have studied and passed English and Maths/Accounts/ Book Keeping at 10th or 12th level.
  3. If candidate is graduate with Maths and English as his subject in BSc, the stipulation of scoring 50% in Class X/Class XII is waived off.
  4. In case candidate is graduate but not having English and Maths/Accts/Book Keeping, he should have secured more than 50% in English & Maths/Accts/ Book Keeping at least once in Class X or Class XII.

Selection Procedure

Stage-I: Screening

  1. Pre-Height Check: Height Bar.
  2. Checking of Admit card by BAR CODE READER.
  3. Stamping of Admit card.
  4. Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
    • • 1.6 Km Run,
    • • Beam (Chin up),
    • • 9 Feet Ditch and
    • • Zig-Zag Balance.
  1. Physical Measurement Test (PMT): Height, Weight and Chest measurement.
  2. Documentation check and interview by Director Recruiting.
  3. Medical examination.
  4. Interview by host director and issue of admit card for Common Entrance Exam.
